What does the U.S. comparison include?
Base salary plus 25% for employer payroll taxes, benefits and insurance. It excludes equity, bonuses, recruiting fees and the cost of a seat sitting empty for three months — all of which would widen the gap in our favour. The comparison is deliberately conservative.
